A lovely cushion cut, faceted Brazilian Emerald suspends hotsell from a twisted ring and simple oxidized brass chain with soldered links. Chain measure 18" long with lobster clasp ensemble. Emerald measures 17mm or approximately 1/2". This pendant would make a sweet May birthstone gift.

Emerald is a variety of the mineral Beryl, along with Aquamarine. The green color of Emerald is attributed to small amounts of Chromium or Vanadium. The dark areas of Emerald
in matrix can be other minerals such as pegmatite. Emeralds are a 7-8 on the Moh's scale for hardness.
Emerald is the birthstone for May and the celebrated stone for the 35th wedding anniversary.
