An antique hotsell Japanese Kutani Meiji period bowl. It was made between 1868 and 1912. It is an eggshell handpainted scolloped decorated bowl with a teahouse, flowers and Geisha's on a white bowl. The flowers have raised white dots in the center of the flowers. The scolloped edges are a burnt orange color. kutani is a region. It means nine valleys. It measures 9 inches in diameter and 2 1/2 inches deep. It measures 3 1/2 tall. The bottom measures 4 1/4 inches in diameter. The exterior of the bowl has three painted pink flowers. The outside of the bowl has eight panels. It's in perfect condition no cracks no breaks no scratches. This is a rare find.
