Hand Turned Buckeye Burl Duck hotsell Call

Hand turned duck call made with dye stabilized (gray, and blue) buckeye burl wood, live edge cast in fluorescent green resin, and a brass ring. This call is a single reed.


Wood stabilizing is the process of impregnating resin under vacuum into the cellular structures of the wood. The process is done to hotsell harden and strengthen the wood while also making it more impervious to moisture. During the process dyes can be added to the resin at various times to create brilliant and vibrant color additions to the wood.

As is the nature of working with Burl wood, small small inclusions and voids can be present but do not affect function.
