Real human baby tooth is set in a vintage ring. The human baby tooth measures .25 inch. The open work flower design measures 5/8 in diameter. The ring is slightly adjustable from a size 5 to 6.5, fitting a small womans' hand. The original vintage ring is circa 1960 and the contemporary baby human tooth has been added. The gold plating is still in good condition.

All of our human teeth come from dental schools. Students of dentistry need volunteers to work on. Schools will actually pay certain people to have students work on them, like monitor juvenile tooth development, so students can have the experience on real people.
The school then gives the teeth to companies that pick up " biohazards" from hospitals, schools and other institutions. These companies dispense with some of the organic matter from these places, but clean and sell others. Teeth are professionally cleaned and sold, mostly back to schools, but sometimes to artists.
