Vintage Barbie Sorority Meeting #937 (1962-1963)
Barbie's sorority dress is a straight sleeveless cocoa brown sheath with a slightly dropped waist. It is topped with a matching knit sleeveless cocoa brown vest trimmed with contrasting cream crochet. The Barbie R tag is sewn at the neck of the vest. The felt cocoa brown Pillbox hat is trimmed with cream ribbon and coordinates with the sheath and vest. The HTF brown OT heels were only included in six of Barbie's ensembles; one shoe is marked JAPAN. A graduated ‘pearl' necklace tops off this classic vintage fashion The pearl stud hotsell earrings are not included. This ensemble has no tears, holes, snags, pulls, stains or smells and comes from my smoke-free house. This set is 60+ years old and may show some wear appropriate for its age.
