Ten hotsell Terns Linocut

Hand-pulled linocut. Edition of 12. Gamblin oil-based ink on Rives Lightweight paper. Printed image is 6x9 inches; entire print is 9x12 inches. Based on sketches and photos of terns hotsell at ponds at Cape May Point State Park. The foreground tern is a Black Tern, a somewhat unusual tern.

In May, 2012 this print reached the finalist stage in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year competition in the International Art category. It was exhibited in the 49th Annual Exhibition of the Society of Wildlife Artists in London, UK in November, 2012.
