Vintage Butterfly Stratton Powder Compact Made in England
A lovely vintage powder compact by Stratton for loose powder. The round compact has a cream enameled lid featuring a wonderful meadow scene with wild flowers of bluebells, daisies and buttercups and a colourful butterfly. The reverse side has a textured pattern of ever decreasing circles.
The inside of the powder compact is as new the base housing the self release powder section, holding the original sifter for loose powder but no powder puff. The mirror still has the instruction label all of which indicate it has never really been used.
The internal self-release lid has the patented Stratton 'Compact in Hand' logo in the centre of the vertical band pattern indicating its age of 1948 to the early 1960s. The compact is signed 'Made by Stratton England' on the inner rim of the mirror and the hinges and catch are in good, strong working order.
The compact still has its original box, alothough there is some wear due to age and the original black pouchett.
Very good vintage condition
Circa. 1948-1950s
Size - 7.5cm dia
The boxed compact arrives complete in a blue Pink Monkey gift box

Most items have been cleaned, but there may be some cleaning that will need to be done to meet the standards of the buyer.
All items are described to the best of my knowledge.

I do recommend that if you purchase earrings from me, to disinfect the hardware with several wipes of alcohol or antibacterial,
Please be careful to avoid any stones.
If any compacts come with an original sponge this may hotsell not be usable as would be fragile, so a replacement sponge would be advisable for use.
