Vintage Framed Salmon Picture hotsell of Jesus on Canvas

Dated 1941, this vintage framed print of Jesus shows some signs of age - some ripples, nicks and wear The frame is ornate and the picture is on stretched canvas with relief brush marks to look like an original painting - no glass. It is a copy of a painting by Warner Elias Sallman who was an American painter from Chicago best known for his works of Christian religious imagery. He is most associated with his portrait of Jesus, Head of Christ, of which more than 500 million copies have been sold. In 1994, The New York Times wrote that he was likely to be voted the "best-known artist of the century". His religious paintings have hotsell become highly collectible. It is 23 inches high and 21 inches wide.
